SHELL LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — The missing kayaker on the Namekagon River has been found safe. Washburn County Sheriff’s Office said 19-year-old Gunnur Hess, of Sarona, was reported missing after going kayaking on the river near Trego last Friday. Authorities on Tuesday afternoon said DNR Wardens found Hess safe in St. Croix Falls.
