Gary Reinitz, 75, of Almena, passed away on June 29. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; mother, Darlene Reinitz; brothers, Steve Reinitz and Mark Reinitz; and sister, Kathleen Burnside. Donald Schilling, 91, of Birchwood, passed away on July 2. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Keller and Joanne Schilling; sisters, Beverly Weiss and LaVerna Cornell. The burial for Donald Schilling, with his wife, Sonya, will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, in Cleghorn, in spring 2025.

Dianne Mielke-Fortney

Dianne Mielke-Fortney, 70, of Rice Lake, passed away on July 5. She is survived by her children, Stacey Teschendorf, Chad Fortney and Evelyn Kahl. A private celebration of life will be held for Dianne Mielke-Fortney, in Rice Lake and Loveland, Colorado.

Barbara Johnson

Barbara Johnson, 87, of Rice Lake, passed away on June 26. The funeral service for Barbara Johnson will be held at Living Water Lutheran Church, in Cameron, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Visitation is from 10 until 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.

AG Kaul seeks bans on “ghost guns”

MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Wisconsin attorney general Josh Kaul wants lawmakers to put restrictions in place on “ghost guns.” Those firearms can be built by hand and are a work around for background checks.
