MADISON, Wis, (WRN) — Wildfire danger around Wisconsin today is high to very high.
Catherine Koele, DNR Wildfire Prevention Specialist, said yesterday, there were four fires.
“We’re moving resources around. We’ve got the Army National Guard, Black Hawk helicopters on standby today to help with some aerial support, but we’re on high alert and likely going into the weekend,” said Koele.
With conditions being very dry, you’re asked to use extra caution if you’re using equipment like chain saws or UTVs, as exhaust sparks can easily start a fire.
