MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — The pheasant hunting season is underway across Wisconsin. DNR Pheasant Ecologist Alissa Kakatsch says they’ll do weekly releases of the birds.

“So our feather stacking season is going to look very similar to last year,” Kakatsch said. “The very similar properties and similar amounts. We’re looking to stock approximately 75,000 birds across roughly 80 properties across southern and central Wisconsin.”
