MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — With his annual Back-To-School Tour underway, Governor Tony Evers is hopeful a number of school districts across the state can get local referendums passed.
“Frankly, some of those referendum are just getting money so that they can keep the doors open. And to me, that’s not a good thing,” Evers said. “I think the state has to do more. And what what that more means exactly ,we’re still in the process of developing our budget.”
Wisconsin voters in February and April cast ballots for 103 school district referenda, approving 62 of them.
