MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — More than $177 million in additional funding is being released for road improvement projects across Wisconsin.
Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced 76 Surface Transportation Projects will get funded. The governor and WisDOT say $200 million will be used for more than 150 local road and bridge improvement projects, which will give more communities across Wisconsin safe, reliable highways they need to create good-paying jobs.
The Evers administration says since 2019, it has improved more than 7,400 miles of roads, including more than 3,700 miles of local roads and nearly 1,800 bridges.
