If you see cops on the rooftop of Dunkin Donuts in Rice Lake today, don’t be alarmed.
Rice Lake Police Officer Andy Jondreau said it’s fundraising for charitable causes.
“Different communities have it. Pretty much everyplace there is a Dunkin, once a year they’ll do Cop on a Rooftop,” Jondreau said. “It’s just to raise money for Special Olympics Wisconsin and then the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Torch Run. We put our squads out front so hopefully people notice.”
The officers will be up there Friday morning. Don’t worry, you don’t have to climb up onto the rooftop to make a donation. You can do that in the store or drive through.
