Pilot named in Chetek airport crash

CHETEK, Wis. (WJMC) — The name of the pilot injured in a crash at the Chetek Airport has been released. The Chetek Police Department identified the pilot as 34-year-old Travis Turner, of Cameron. Turner was airlifted with nonlifethreatening injuries after his Piper Cherokee Six single-engine airplane crashed during takeoff at the airport on Wednesday afternoon.
