MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Governor Tony Evers declares August 10th Cream Puff Day in Wisconsin.
The governor made the declaration Thursday during the opening ceremonies of the Wisconsin State Fair. The proclamation celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Original Cream Puff, which has been a popular attraction at the fair. The confection debuted at the event in 1924 to showcase Wisconsin’s dairy industry.
The 173rd edition of the Wisconsin State Fair runs through August 11 in West Allis.
