MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Wisconsin’s employment numbers are the highest in its history. May’s labor numbers show the state has over 3 million people working.

“The more people that are employed, the more you have the impacts of their spending on the economy,” said Department of Workforce Development section chief Scott Hodek.

Wisconsin’s unemployment rate continues to be about a percentage point below the national average at 2 point 9 percent.
