RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — Tomorrow, we remember those who served our country and have passed before us, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving. Local veterans organizations are conducting military rites services and hosting Memorial Day observances.
Rice Lake’s is at 10:45 a.m. at Veterans Memorial City Park.
Barron’s Memorial Day parade starts at 8:30 a.m. on East LaSalle Avenue, with a program at Wayside Cemetery at 9:10 a.m. If there is rain, it will be moved to the Barron High School gym at 9:30 a.m.
Chetek’s Memorial Day parade starts at 10:42 a.m. on the Long Bridge, with a service at Lakeview Cemetery at 11 a.m. If there is rain, the service will be moved to the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High School gym at 11:30 a.m.
Spooner’s veterans organizations will hold a program at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, across from Tony’s Riverside.
Turtle Lake’s American Legion Post conducts eight Memorial Day services, with the first at 9:30 a.m. at Turtle Lake’s Village Park.
The Cameron American Legion Post will hold a program at 11 a.m. at Sportsman’s Park.
Haugen’s American Legion Post will conduct three services, starting with the cemetery in Haugen at 10 a.m.
