RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — Sponsors are sought for an upcoming fundraiser honoring fallen police officers Emily Breidenbach and Hunter Scheel.
On June 29th, the Blues Hill Sportsmen’s Club will be holding the Fallen Hero Memorial Trap Shoot. For fifty dollars, participants will receive two rounds of clay shooting, shells, a catered meal, and a door prize entry drawing. Proceeds from both the entry fees and gun raffles will be donated to the Chetek and Cameron Police Departments.
Blue Hills Sportsmen’s Club Chairman of the Board Tim Chaussee talks about how the event came together to honor two of the area’s finest.
“As a retired law enforcement officer, I felt it was important to show some love and respect to our first responders in the area, after the tragedy last year. The death of Emily and Hunter,” Chaussee said. “I’ve been working with Chief Ron Ambrozitis from the Chetek Police Department to put this event together, and also to raise money for both the Chetek and Cameron Police Departments.”
The Fallen Hero Memorial Trap Shoot also features four levels of sponsorship opportunities, ranging from 100 to 500 dollars. Those interested in sponsoring or donating to the event, or would like more details, can visit www.bluehillssportsmens.club, or they can contact Chaussee at 715-933-0125.
